The huge difference in slavery back in the days and nowadays is that it just aint called “slavery” anymore, nevertheless it´s a more important topic than ever.

The article 10 Shocking facts about global slavery in 2008 pretty much sums it up.

Slavery? Nowadays? No way! Yeah, right, it´s a great social world we are living in, we can be glad we didn´t live a few hundred years earlier, are we?

I´m really looking forward to direct my next short movie by the end of 2008…

To be honest, i won´t manage to write the wrap up of the last month, so i´ll be doing it together with the current month at the end of June…

Back to topic: tomorrow we will start to set up our JVC booth right in the Vienna fan zone for the EURO 08. With my brand new Nikon D80 i made some test shots and whenever i have time during the EURO i will try to get some great shots of big emotions.

For now i tried to capture some of the preperations for the EURO, including my very first HDR shots of the Ernst Happel Stadium. See all pictures on my (brand new) flickr page.

Right at the moment i´m really stressed with all the stuff i have to do, since the EURO 08 starts this saturday and we are shooting fan comments during the whole event, there is really lots of stuff to do (japp, the wrap up post of the last month is still not yet done, but hopefully till saturday).

Anyway i managed to attend the screenwriting lecture with Michael Gutmann last saturday. It was a great day, he talked about his work as professional screenwriter, about his working relationship with director Hans-Christian Schmid and gave us some insights into his approach to screenwriting.

Additionally we watched the movie Lichter (which by the way is really good) and Michael stopped the movie from time to time and talked about the screenplay, why they did what they did and about the translation from script to screen.

All in all it was a great lecture and i´m really looking forward to attend the next event from Script Forum Vienna.
