Today we will perform our theater play Ritzen in Wels, to be exact at the Alter Schl8hof.
Since i´ve been on a shooting in Croatia last week i´m really getting used to live in hotels. It´s a nice alternation to be on a trip for some time…
I particularly enjoyed the train ride, i spent the two hour trip with reading the screenplay of Juno. For our first meeting of the writers group we decided to read that script since it´s from a first time author and it won the oscar right away.
I´ll post some notes on Juno later on, now it´s time to get something to eat and then rehears the play once again before the performance starts at 8 pm.
Some days ago i started a search for aspiring screenwriters to join my screenwriting group, now, just a few days later we´ve got it together.
We are a group of 6 and i´m really looking forward to the first meeting. Since i´m on a shooting in Croatia the next week it will take us some few days more, but that shouldn´t be a problem.
I´ve already got some really good ideas for topics we could address, we´ll talk about the details on our first “inofficial” meeting, having a coffee or such.
I´ll keep you updated what exactly we are going to do in our group, and over the time i will gather more informations which topic we will address.
Some time ago i stumbled upon a great eBook about Screenwriting Groups (you can find my post here), it´s from Alexis Niki.
Since then i thought about joining a group, but since Austria is quite a developing nation when it comes to screenwriting i found none. So the only choice left for me was to create one.
So here we go! Since i live in Vienna and i´m writing in german this might only be interesting for screenwriters near Vienna. The whole idea is summarized here: Writers Group Vienna (in german).
